To me, nothing says summer like bright colors and the life outdoors. And what better way to get bikini-season ready than combining the two?! I love our new training gear from UNDER ARMOUR. They pioneered sweat wicking and stay-cool fabric, and the technology is unbeatable. Their TECH SHORT SLEEVE TEE is a great top for a long run, even in the summer – and it’s a great value, too! The key to a great run is staying comfortable, and you’ll have no problem doing that in the GREAT ESCAPE II PERFROMANCE SHORTS from Under Armour. Made with their signature high-tech fabric, they have a built-in running brief to keep you covered and comfy. And I love the color selection in NIKE’s PRO BRA line – hot pink and electric yellow? Yes please! The Pro fabric uses Nike’s top of the line Dri-Fit technology, plus the redesigned fit makes sure you stay supported no matter how hard you hit the pavement.

For summer tennis, I love the LIJA collection – it's full of great, on-trend styles in soft, comfortable fabrics, perfect for the warmer weather. I love wearing white on the court, and the TRANQUIL INFINITY TANK is a simple, sophisticated way to usher in that summer-sanctioned color. They also offer a PLEATED MESH SKORT and a MATCH SKORT with adorable ruffles that will coordinate with almost anything in your closet. My favorite top this summer is the CROSS STRAP TANK, which has a gathered hem band and thin straps for the perfect combination of style and function for match play. I love the loose fit of this tank – restriction is NOT my friend on the court – and the color and cut are so trendy, you could easily wear this top just for looks!

Finally, no style is complete without great accessories! The NIKE DRI FIT WIDE STUDIO HEADBAND is a must for ladies with layers. At last, a headband that actually stay in place while I run! And, I’m in love with the new ASICS GEL RESOLUTION 5 TENNIS SHOE – it is incredibly comfortable and light, plus it comes in a fantastic range of colors. And, you can’t play summer tennis without some great sunglasses – these ADIDAS AGILIS MATTE BLACK SUNGLASSES are super stylish and sport-ready. Bring on the sun and summer!

I was so excited when I went to stock up on gear for the summer and saw all these goodies that benefit breast cancer research: the PRO VISION SPORTS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS COOL COMFORT TOWEL, WILSON ALL HOPE ALL COURT PINK TENNIS BALLS, and the WILSON HOPE TENNIS DAMPENERS (we need these things anyway, may as well make them count, right?).

And when it comes to summer styles, for me it’s all about comfort, cut, and color – in that order. If it’s not comfortable, it’s not welcome in my closet! My body is by no means proportionate so I need my clothes to shape my silhouette for me with specific cuts and strategic use of color, like the ELIZA AUDLEY NOIR TENNIS DRESS and the CUIDADO A-LINE SKORT. Even the deceptively simple BASIC TENNIS CAMI from Eliza Audley that I picked out has a black rhinestone logo at the hem for a little dash of razzle-dazzle.

I also have high standards for my athletic shoes. Rubbing, blistering, and just general soreness are not acceptable - I want all of my focus to be on my game, not my feet! I need tennis shoes to be versatile, light, and offer optimal support like the PRINCE REBEL 2LS WHITE/GRAY TENNIS SHOES. But the second my workout is over I slip on these CHILWYANDA FLIP FLOPS from ADIDAS. The FitFoam footbed (say that fast five times!) is second only to being pampered at an actual spa.
